Prospects of successful model of bank insurance are difficult for underestimating 


In our country cooperation of the insurance companies with banks – the phenomenon extended enough, but, unfortunately, is realized it far not in the form of classical bancassurance.

If to speak about it in the standard sense, bancassurance consists that the bank acts as the high-grade channel of sale of insurance service. Service sales as that, instead of it is exclusive pledge subjects. In this case for employees of bank this operation same as, for example, opening of the credit account or plastic card delivery. They pass special trainings and well know products which offer.



Abroad, where bank insurance works for a long time and successfully, sale of insurance products in bank is perceived by clients as absolutely usual practice – they don't feel a difference, buying insurance products in bank or is direct in the insurance company.

So has historically developed that in our country bancassurance it is closely connected with insurance of a subject of pledge. In crisis when crediting level has sharply fallen, sales of bank insurance were strongly reduced also. With relative stabilization of a financial position in the country and gradual renewal of crediting, has started to revive and insurance.

Certainly, it is good, but only – it is not enough such form of interaction of bank and insurance company.

For quite some time now in the market insignificant development in Ukraine the classical scheme for Europe bancassurance, namely not mortgaging insurance is observed. In my opinion, such insurance becomes the most actual trend of the near future.
Certainly, it is a question of long-term prospect and the main obstacle in this way is the general immaturity of the market.

Cooperation with banks for the insurance companies is not only stable trade channel of insurance services and mutual using the general base of clients. Unequivocally to answer a question interest of both financial structures in the given kind of cooperation difficult as all depends on the relation to cooperation of both partners is how much great. Some banks perceive bankashurans as the auxiliary operation necessary for realization basic – credit reception. In this case and interest of bank in partnership is insignificant. There are also banks which perceive insurance sale as additional service for the client, and also possibility of reception of the additional commission income of sales.


That is banks are meaningly limited to insurance of a subject of pledge and often don't consider in work interests and requirements of clients which, in turn, concern insurance as to the tax, compulsion, or as to one of conditions of reception of the credit. And that the client perceived this service as an element own financial protection and rest, it at the moment of insurance policy purchase should receive the full and exhaustive information on it.

The understanding of advantages of a product transforms the bank client into the present consumer of insurance service which, probably, will continue cooperation with the insurance company even after credit repayment.

The insurance companies also often limit themselves, stopping that the bank for them is only client base. But for the proactive companies which work on prospect, this model of cooperation, allows to use as much as possible the possibilities and bank possibilities to create optimum conditions for the client.

In our opinion, one of the main and unconditional advantages bancassurance for the insurance company and its clients reception of additional points of sales and, accordingly, access channels to insurance services is. The client has an opportunity to get the policy in a place convenient for it: at company office, in bank or, for example, at the autodealer.

Prospects of successful model of bank insurance are difficult for underestimating, after all, in the classical kind, it is favourable to all parties: both to bank, and the insurance company. And their clients thus receive a full set of services with the maximum comfort.

АХА has passed in Ukraine all stages of development bancassurance: from the moment of its origin and cooperation only on credit property, to a stage when we actively offer not mortgaging products. Now we very actively develop this direction while it concerns sales through banks of policies ОСАГО.
