EU allowed bunkering vessels with fuel oil from Iranian origin, under certain conditions

The EU has amended Regulation 1263/2012 of 21 December 2012, which allow ships bunker fuel oil from Iranian origin, provided that it is made in another country. The press service of the International Group of P & I Clubs and indemnity (International Group of P & I Clubs).

"Ships engaged in bunkering fuel Iranian origin, are not subject to the ban (if the bunker fuel used for the propulsion of the vessel and is not transported as cargo) for the purchase, transport or import of Iranian oil, prescribed in Regulation 267, provided that the fuel was not made in Iran, and bunkering vessel manufactured in any country other than Iran, except for force majeure, forcing produce bunkering in the port of refuge in Iran ", - the report says.
