PACE: Urgent debate on the situation in Mali and Algeria

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to hold urgent debate on the situation in Mali and Algeria.



Told reporters in Strasbourg after the meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly of the Russian delegation Leonid Slutsky.
"There will be urgent debate on the situation in Mali and Algeria," - he said.
L.Slutsky also noted that the Bureau did not support the proposal of the People's Party to hold an urgent debate on the situation in Georgia. Thus, according to him, during the current session of PACE, "the Georgian issue" limited performance of the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and the consideration of the report on the humanitarian situation in the regions affected by the Russian-Georgian war of 2008.
L.Slutsky also said that at the meeting of the situation in Ukraine, the question was not raised.

As previously reported, in Strasbourg today begins the first part of the PACE session in 2013.
