More than 150 police officers have been arrested in the state of Durango in northern Mexico on suspicion of links to organized crime.
Were also detained officials responsible for public security in the two cities in the state - Gomez Palacio and Lerdo.
During the operation, the army forces surrounded the police departments in both cities.
Recall, the newly elected president, Enrique Peña Nieto, said that the fight against corruption is one of the top priorities of his administration.
