Yesterday the armored column of French troops entered the capital of Mali - Bamako. As it turned out, some air raids is not enough, especially since the Islamist militants are well armed and protected the civilians as human shields - at least, that information disseminated French military.

On the eve of France stated that increase the number of troops in Mali from 800 to 2500 people.

In general, to provide military support to Mali have agreed to at least 13 countries, but at the moment there are only French. Neighbors Mali - Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Niger, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Togo - have promised to send their troops to the country. U.S. provides support for communication and provides the intelligence, and the UK is engaged in logistics.

North Mali spring 2012, a military coup took first Tuareg separatists, Islamists and then associated with "al-Qaeda." Malian authorities have requested support of France after the capture of insurgents Kona - a strategically important city, which opens the way to the capital.
