In respect of the French Minister for Budget Jerome Kayuzaka suspected of tax evasion, began preliminary investigations, reports on Tuesday, Agence France-Presse.
In the Paris prosecutor's office noted that the charges, which he denies Kayuzak, are particularly sensitive nature, and their investigation will take a long time.
"For all these reasons, the prosecution decided to open a preliminary investigation into possible tax evasion," - said in a statement.
The investigation was launched after the Mediapart information portal reported that Kayuzak had secret accounts in Swiss bank UBS, funds from which were then transferred to Singapore.
