U.S. Congressmen asked the Russian authorities to carry through the initiated process of adoption of Russian children by U.S. families.

"We are asking the Russian government to allow to accomplish the process of adoption of Russian children who are found in the U.S. foster care before the adoption of the Law of the Russian Federation (the" law of Dima Yakovlev ") ... We are concerned about a total ban adoptions to U.S. citizens Children of Russia", - said in a letter , signed by more than 70 MPs.

According to the authors of the letter, foster families in the U.S. are waiting for the children they found in Russia, love them and hope for a reunion. "We ask you to consider this request, not through the prism of politics and think about the people who are directly affected the law ... We ask you, as a father, to prioritize the completion of the cases," - said in the letter.
