It is a question of reducing of the income tax rate, installments on medical and pension insurance.

The Lithuanian authorities are going to go for lowering of the tax load since 2014 About it the prime minister of the country Algirdas Butkjavichjus has reported.


Social democrats who have returned to the power, are going to carry out tax reform in the country. Changes will concern mainly systems of the taxation of payment. It is a question of reducing of the income tax rate, installments on medical and pension insurance.

Besides, decrease in the VAT for a number of the goods is expected also. According to initiators of reform, it shouldn't be reflected in a profitable part of the budget.

"I am glad that my adviser Jakeljunas with eagerness was accepted to this work. Today at morning meeting informed that the working group has aimed to review all taxation system till April, 1st of this year that then it was possible to represent projects of new laws", - Algirdas Butkjavichjus at a meeting with journalists has told.

The parliament of Lithuania should pass laws till July, 1st, 2013, and they will enter force already with the beginning of next year.
